We are sad to announce that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Boston Common Frog Pond will not be opening the ice-skating rink for the 2020-2021 winter season. We look forward to welcoming skaters to the ice next year.
How deep is the Frog Pond?
The pond does not need to be deep in order to be a good habitat for frogs. Make the pond no more than 3 ft (0.91 m) deep. This depth is enough for frogs in colder climates to safely hibernate during the winter.
